Since its launch in 1994, the Cambridge Science Festival has brought science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine to an audience of all ages through hundreds of demonstrations, talks, performances and debates. During the Festival, which runs from 7 – 20 March 2016, you can explore everything from artificial intelligence to the latest breakthroughs in healthcare. Web Scientific & Thistle Scientific will be hosting a mini exhibition at the The Babraham Instutute, Cambridge on Wednesday, 2nd March, 2016 between 10am and 3pm. This exhibition will be for the benefit of researchers at the Institute and is designed to raise awareness in the Cambridge Life Sciences community of our newest and most unique products, including: the Holomonitor-M4 3D Holographic Imager; HiLyte Dyes for protein, peptide and nucleic acid labelling; V&P Liquid Handling, Mixing & Magnetic Bead Separation products.

The start of a new year and already we've organised and attended two mini exhibitions. The first was held at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) on the 4th February and the second at the Wellcome Trust/MRC building on the 10th February. Both institutes are located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The purpose of these exhibitions was to raise awareness in the Cambridge Life Sciences community of our newest and most unique products and included: the Holomonitor-M4 3D Holographic Imager; HiLyte Dyes for protein, peptide and nucleic acid labelling; V&P Liquid Handling, Mixing & Magnetic Bead Separation products.

Date added: 07/12/2015 We've Added A New Product Range To The Sample Storage Section Of Our Website

In addition to temperatures between 0 and –20°C it is often necessary to maintain samples on the bench at lower or higher temperatures for extended periods of time.

Called 'Other Clever Ways Of Controlling Sample Temperature At The Bench', the products in this section allow the end user to keep samples at temperatures ranging from 196°C (liquid N2), to 0°C, or at temperatures greater than 0 for several hours in a contamination-controlled environment. User instructions for any of our products which require them, particularly research reagents and more technically demanding products will now be posted in the Downloads section of our website (found in the Support tab on our Homepage). This process will have to be done piecemeal, but we have already started with the User Instruction (UI0001) for our ever popular DNA fragment clean-up reagent, MicroCLEAN.

Date added: 06/11/2015 The Genomics Section Of Our Website Gets Re-named

The Genomics section of our website has now been renamed - Genomics & Molecular Biology. The reason for this change has been to allow our customers a better understanding of the products they are likely to find in this section as well as allowing some of the products a better fit. This section has also been given a new look with much needed product information and images being added in. We also have a selection of NEW products which we hope will be of interest.
